Harvard freshman Sierra Springer is carrying her high school momentum directly into her first collegiate season.
Sierra Springer, a freshman at Harvard University, is wasting no time making her mark on the fencing world. Over the course of the summer, she has been perfect on the podium, appearing three times and winning gold in all three instances.
Her most recent victory came on June 21st at the 2026 Bay State Games in the Senior Women's Épée event. This followed a win in the Junior Women's Épée at the same tournament the day prior, and a gold at the NEUSFA 2026 Pomme De Terre on June 13th. These results add to a decorated career that already includes 21 titles and 70 podiums since 2019.
Springer, who hails from Brookline, Mass., brings an A26 rating to the Harvard team. Her current national ranking of No. 20 in the U20 category and No. 70 in the senior category suggests that she will be an immediate contributor at the collegiate level.
